My Saturday with Luke

Luke and I spent the day together yesterday and we had a wonderfully relaxing time while doing a whole bunch of activities together.

We got up early and went to the Farmers Market for the first time this year, and even though the weather network predicted rain all day, we didn't feel a single drop!  We couldn't decide on breakfast so we ended up visiting four different stalls and having a delicious combination of foods: Vegetable Pakoras, Soft Pretzels, Coffee, Crepe with Jam and Brown Sugar (that was mine) and a shishkebab on a bun with onions and roasted rep pepper dip (for Luke).

We also took a trip to Michaels, the craft store, and my sweet boyfriend toughed it out and came in with me.  Actually, he ended up finding something he liked: A wooden sculpture puzzle, so we both bought one and came home and made them together. :)

By mid afternoon, it still wasn't raining so we road our mountain bikes for a a couple of hours. (see my post below for details of the ride, incl pics) The predictions of rain seemed to deter everyone else so we had the trail all to ourselves. As soon as we made it to the lower parking lot....it started to rain! The timing was almost unbelievable, I'm so glad it decided to hold off so we could have a fun, eventful day together.

We made a late dinner together that was extremely filling and healthy: Burritos! Whole wheat wraps with brown rice, black beans, grilled peppers, garlic, salsa, mozza and fresh diced tomatoes. I'm developing quite a repertoire of healthy recipes.
