The Evolution of a Photograph

Trying to photograph my lego creations has become a hobby in itself!  As you can see above, I started out just using my camera in a white/boring area.  No matter what I did I could not get a flattering picture...
Here is a little Micro robot I built, but notice how dark the picture is, as well as the shadows cast.
I set up a quick and hasty backdrop which Circus became obsessed with and kept photo-bombing my pics :)   Plus the sheets were just wayyyy too wrinkly.
Here is my Micro car again with a better lighting but its still not great.
Here is another picture of my Micro car that is looking much better!  My secret = I made a homemade lightbox specifically for taking pictures of my Lego creations. I can't believe what a difference it makes!  My creations (and photos) look so much more professional and 'finished'.
Here is my setup, I can fold this away when I am not using it which is another great feature of the do-it-yourself lightbox :)

My First MOC!

Hello everyone!  I have a secret to confess.... I play with lego!  And boy is it fun :)
It all started while I was playing with Miko and his new assortment of Duplo blocks.  I had so much fun that I started investigating lego sets for adults.  Luckily for me, lego now fully caters to the adult lego fan community with such themes as creator, modular buildings, architecture and the new Lego 'Ideas'
I also discovered that there is a whole world out there where people create with lego... without the instruction manual!  Making my own creations has been the most creatively fulfilling pursuit that I have discovered in a long time. I cannot believe how much I have fallen in love with this new passion!
Anyway, the haunted house you see is my very first MOC (lego accronym that stands for My Own Creation)  That means that I built this without instructions, just by combining pieces from the few sets I own, and by using my imagination.
Needless to say, I have much more to say (and post) on this subject so stay tuned for more creations!
